The client requested that along with clear information on what they do and how they work, they anted to showcase their various collections from top designers.

How will you create my website design?
In the majority of cases our clients come to us not really knowing how they want their website to be. All they know is that they want it to look professional. Typically we will present you with 2 or 3 design ideas and you simply pick the one you like best. This gives us a starting point and we can work from there.
How long do websites take to design?
A typical small business website made up of around 5 or 6 pages with text, images, company logo etc. can be built in less than a week, however it is usually up and running with a few days providing we have everything we need to get started.
Do we need to meet face-to-face?
Not really, the majority of the web design business can be carried out without ever meeting, although it is sometimes preferable by both parties on larger projects. We have designed websites for people all over the UK. We stay in touch with you via telephone and anything we require from you such as text and possibly some pictures or a logo can be emailed.
This being said, we are always eager to meet up for a coffee and a muffin! The choice is yours :)
What is a domain name or TLD?
A Domain Name or TLD (Top Level Domain) is the www.yourcompany.co.uk and is registered and purchased for a period of 2 to 10 years and can be renewed or released at the end of the registered term. Think of a domain as a telephone number and web hosting as the telephone, see below...
What is web hosting?
Web hosting is basically space on the internet, you can own or lease this space. Most web design companies rent you space through another, much larger provider such as a data centre. Others, such as ourselves, own their own web servers/space which are basically big high-spec computers that are located in secure building and are protected by numerous backup and safety systems.
When someone types in or searches for your website, your domain name (see above) is pointed to your web hosting like a telephone number points to your telephone.
Will I be at the top of the first page of Google?
There is no straight answer to this, we like to be open on honest with clients about this as there are countless companies out there that will contact you promising more results, higher rankings, guaranteed placements blah blah blah. In short - there is absolutly no guaranteed way of getting yourself to the top of any search engine unless you are truley unique or have a very large budget.
We employ SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) in all our designs which basically give your website it's best chance in climbing the search engine ladder. Despite what you may have heard, there are no longer and tricks, shortcuts or secret knowledge on boosting your website ranking, there are do's and don'ts but any genuine design company should use these anyway, not charge you for it!
We have found that the majority of advertising agencies, directories or SEO specialists we come across do in fact get you on the front page of Google when you search for "Your Company Name", this is very misleading to most people as they then believe that they are getting their moneys worth and that's another problem out the way?
It is in fact very easy to appear in Google when you search for you company name as a high percentage of company names are totally different, therefore when you search for "Mary's Antique Pottery Shop", the chances are there aren't another 10 business with the same name so of course you will be on the first page. The whole idea of SEO is to get you up there when someone searches for "Antique Pottery", now you are fighting with hundreds, if not thousands of competitors instead of maybe a handful.
As with everything, there are always exceptions, again if you are manufacturing and selling something new then until someone else jumps on the band wagon you will indeed be listed at the top of searches however this is quite rare.
The alternative option is to put a PPC or Pay Per Click strategy in place. By paying search engines just a pennies every time someone clicks on your website link, you can climb the ladder much faster as you will be preferable to your competitors that aren't using PPC. In most cases this is enough and in a few weeks/months your website should be well established.
If you are looking for greater results and a lot faster then it is simply a matter of upping the PPC budget, again this will put you above your competitors as you are now willing to pay upto 10p per click where as they are not willing to pay more than 5p.
The above scenarios are applicable to nearly all of the websites we design and for business in general, however if you intend to sell something very very common such as Mobile Phone, then realistically you would be looking at a monthly PPC budget of £2000 and even then you would not be guaranteed to be on the first page - in our opinion it is an expensive game to play and whilst we are fully capable of managing projects of this size, a lot of thought and planning needs to be in place.
